Grant Langston
FIM World & AMA National MX Champion/Co-Founder, Speed & Sport Adventures/Owner, Langston Motorsports
South African Grant Langston is one of the most-unique racers in the sport of motocross and Supercross. During his third attempt, Langston won the 2000 125cc Motocross World Championship before heading to the United States to compete in American Motorcyclist Association (AMA)-sanctioned events. In 2003 he won the AMA 125cc National MX Championship and the AMA Supermoto Super Unlimited title before winning back-to-back AMA 125cc Supercross titles in 2005 and 2006. The following year, Langston won the AMA 450cc National MX Championship as a factory Yamaha Rider before his career was cut short by a cancerous eye tumor.
Langston has ridden for Factory Red Bull KTM, Team Pro Circuit Kawasaki and Team Yamaha. He is also the owner of Langston Motorsports, a multi-line motorcycle dealership in Perris, California, and for several years he has been a television commentator covering the AMA Pro Motocross Series on MavTV and NBC. Langston is also a co-founder and co-owner of The Whiskey Throttle Show with Donnie Bales and David Pingree. The show is arguably the best documentary series on the sport of motocrosss and occasionally covers off-road. As for off-road, the KTM factory has most recently hired Langston to lead guided trail rides as part of their adventure tour program in the United States.
